A saint to me is…
by Mayfair on Mar.18, 2009, under What Is A Saint 2 Us
A saint to me is a person who makes you happy and asks nothing in return and helps you out. My friend Brianna Marsh always tried to make me happy. When it was Christmas she would give me a gift, when it was my birthday she would give me a gift, and sometimes she would just give me something because she felt like it. She is also a very kind person. She had given me many gifts throughout the five years I had been talking to her at one of my former schools, but she never had asked anything in return. I tried to get her something, but I never had time to. I now have been knowing her for 8 years now, but I don’t talk to her that much anymore. She is just one of the many saints that have helped me out in my life.
My Saint

Do you know what a saint is?
Well, there is no exact definition to me but the closes thing to it is my mother
This very special woman earned this definition without a doubt
She earned this because she’s always there for me when I’m in need, kind of like a guardian angel
And she never asks for nothing in return
She gave me the most valuable thing I own, my life
And I can not ever return the favor
She does everything in her power to protect me and keep me sheltered and safe
I never pay her in return
She gives me food and tries to keep me content by giving me anything i ask for
I don’t think she’s a saint just because she gives me everything i want but because she is my everything and without her i would be nothing
I can never repay her and I don’t do what I know I can to show my gratitude and she still loves me and that’s why I believe this woman is truly my definition of a saint

A saint to me is someone who does something good for nothing in return. For the past year I had a saint living in my house. Her name was Linda Joy Moe she was also known as grandma. My grandma was diagnosed with cancer somewhere around January. Since she had no other place to live anymore she came to live with us. Even though every was sad she still was funny as she usually is and tries to brighten us up. She was starting to improve but then one day she went to the hospital and they told her that she wouldn’t live past the first of the year. Since they had stated that they sent her to go live in a hospice. We visited her often but she was getting weaker and weaker. Then one day January 15, 2009 she died. The day at funeral wasn’t that much fun either. The reason I said she was a saint is because even though we going through a sad time she would always try to make us laugh and as usual she succeeded. She acted if she wasn’t that sick sometimes she would get up and start cleaning even though we told her it was alright and we would do it she said no it’s alright and kept on cleaning. She had a love for horses but had no money to buy one so she took my cousins to go look at the horses she had a horse that she had liked very much and before she was sick she used to help out with that horse so she called it her horse. My grandma went off to heaven and she says to meet her at strawberry cheesecake mountain.
An Angel From Above
by Mayfair on Mar.18, 2009, under What Is A Saint 2 Us
An angel to me would be my grandmother. She has been with me for basically my whole life. When I was first born I had stomach problems and couldn’t hold my food in long enough to digest. I stayed in the hospital for two weeks, but my grandma was by my side the whole time. I hardly knew my father and my mother couldn’t take care of me, so I was given to my grandma. She fed me, bathed me, and gave me shelter. She would always make sure I would do my best on a test or on any project or homework assignment. that is why to me, my grandma is a saint. Matter of fact, she is my gaurdian angel, and I will always love her.
what is a saint to us
by mayfair01 on Mar.18, 2009, under What Is A Saint 2 Us
A saint to me is someone who puts in the time to do something nice and that person to me is my little cousin Zack. Whenever I’m in a bad mood or not feeling really good, little Zack is the one who is right there to cheer me up. He makes me laugh just by whatever he’s doing. Like one time he kept shouting a loud, “R-R-A-A-R-R!!!” like a dinosaur and then running around in circles until he fell over. Then I’d take him to my room and launch him onto my bed. Even if it’s just talking to him on the phone, little Zack is what I call a saint.
What Is A Saint 2 U?
by boba_99 on Mar.18, 2009, under What Is A Saint 2 Us
A saint is someone who brings happiness to people around them. They are humble and impact the lives of the people around them, when asking for little or nothing in return. Most importantly, a saint is there for someone in their time of need. My grandmother is a saint to me because she was so strong when her mother and younger sister passed away in a fire. When she was older; she brought her six children to America during the Vietnam War, because she wanted all of her children to have an education. This is what a saint is to me.

A saint is somebody that would help you out of no where when your in need of help. A saint is a person who is always there through thick and thin. Makes you enjoy life while you have the chance too. Saints are like charms on a charm bracelet you’ll always have them no matter what and if you lose them you’ll always have another by your side.
for no other reason than love
by sunflowerseed on Mar.18, 2009, under What Is A Saint 2 Us
imagine two exceptional human beings, in the springtime of a budding relationship, plucking a young child from the distant streets of eminent disaster. taking on the full resposibilities of parenthood, they bring her into their home, and love, shelter, clothe, feed, and educate her. as time passes, there are sports, braces, a car, insurance - all the good stuff, and some dark times too. and why? for no other reason than love.

My Dad the Saint
by Mayfair on Mar.18, 2009, under What Is A Saint 2 Us
My father is a saint to me because when my mother died, he was the one who took care of me. My mother died from a deaseas called alcoholism. That left me to my dad, and my dad was by himself. My dad took great care of me and let me go to a day care that cost a lot of money. My father knew it was alot, but he forked up the money just so I can meet new friends. That was what a saint is to me.

Once when I was about 7 years old, I took a family vacation to Disneyland along with some cousins. We were having so much fun going on the rides and playing in the arcades. But all the fun went away when everyone that I knew was gone. I was lost and I didn’t know what to do. Then a woman grabbed me by the hand and walked me over to one of my older cousins. I had no time to react because by the time i tried to turn around and ask her who she was she smiled at me and said,”There you go.” She turned and walked over to her husband and two sons and they left. I think that that woman is a saint to me.
what is a saint to me..
by random_tangello220 on Mar.18, 2009, under What Is A Saint 2 Us
A saint to me is someone who is there at the most ironic time to help you. Someone who doesn’t even have reason for doing it and if another person were to give them a reward for their deed, they wouldn’t accept it. A Lot of times my saints are my friends. They are always there for me and if someone where to make fun of me they would always be there for me.It’s funny how they just appear there coincidentally when something comes up. No matter who a saint to many people they are all considered one for a reason: they are always there when a problem comes up and helps you get out of it without letting you know it.
Real Saint
by tori on Mar.18, 2009, under What Is A Saint 2 Us
To me a saint isn’t just a person that you might see every day and not knowing it. It is a person who dedicates themselves to God and does something good everyday. They aren’t really considered a family member because it isn’t just a nice thing done for someone you already know or love. It takes your whole life and all of your time to do. You have to help someome everyday or even more people. It isn’t the rewards or glory you recieve from helping someone it is about doing something good everyday, or a deed.

A saint to me is someone who is always there in good times and bad, someone who makes you smile when life is getting tough, someone who protects you and cares for you. To me, my friends are my saints. Whenever I’m having a bad day, they are always trying to make me laugh. They are always willing to take time out of their day to be with me. This is what a saint is to me.
Pirate Diego
by dodie on Mar.16, 2009, under What Is A Saint 2 Us
Pirate Diego Fuentes
Those who knew him would state
he was the bravest pirate that ever lived.
He fought many battles
during his voyage at sea.
The legend of Diego Fuentes
will never be forgotten and told for centuries.
His battles were taken on with valor and a keen wit.
He, several times, stared straight into the eyes of his enemy,
lifted his sword high above his head
and in one swift slash, slayed the mighty beast, “CANCER!”
Although, in history, pirates are not made
saints, this would be an earned exception.
Diego was a brave little boy
who changed the lives of many during his courageous battle.
He taught many lessons in five short years:
1) Take one day at a time and remain grateful.
2) Enjoy nature and the animals around us.
3) Savor good food and have it often.
4) It is o.k. to roar like a dinosaur when you need to.
5) Tell stories and amuse others.
6) Don’t forget to laugh and hug those around you.
7) It is always better to give than to receive.
This little soul gave so much and asked for so little in return.
Pirate Diego is my definition of a saint.
what is a saint…
by parsley on Mar.12, 2009, under What Is A Saint 2 Us
I’ve been thinking about this, probably too hard. In fact, I was telling my bandmates that try as I might, I couldn’t think of a “saintly figure” that has had a direct impact on my life. And then it hit: Dummie, there are saints all around you! My partner, my friends, my co-workers, my parents, and wow… my bandmates! In fact, I see saints every single day: on the news, in the streets, at work… you just have to open your eyes and SEE. I love you Michelle, Steve, Paula, Lori, the Posse… Rock on!
by Jenny on Mar.12, 2009, under What Is A Saint 2 Us
I think the stereotypical idea of a saint is ridiculous. That is, a holy person who never questions the injustices in the world, who has unlimited patience, kindness and respect, and who loves everyone no matter what. I think a saint is much more complex than that - if it weren’t, how could saints exist at all?
So to me, a saint is someone who tries to make other people smile. Someone who genuinely cares for other people and tries to make life just a little easier, if only in tiny ways. And then there are the people who fight tooth and nail to change society for the better - civil rights activists, people who aren’t afraid to point out injustices and say, “This NEEDS to change.” That’s why I think it’s sort of impossible for a saint to be constantly benevolent and always calm. Joan of Arc was considered a saint, and is probably one of the least calm historical figures I can think of. It takes a sense of anger and indignence to find injustices and stand against them.
But smaller things work just as well. I’ve been going through a difficult situation with my mother for the past two years or so, and I can’t count the number of times I’ve been down in the dumps and my friends, knowing what’s going on, offer to talk or just make a stupid joke. It usually puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day. Even just listening, for a small amount of time, or a hug or a smile can make someone a saint in someone else’s eyes.
It’s all about perception.
A Saint To Me
by Swoop on Mar.12, 2009, under What Is A Saint 2 Us
What is a saint to me? I’d have to say saints are the right individuals doing extraordinary things at unexpected times. This is why I believe that saints walk among all of us. Everyone is capable of being someone’s saint and not even know it. I’ve had someone smile and say hello when I was feeling down. That friendly gesture turned what was seemingly headed to be a bad day around. I know we often think of the times when people get us through tough situations, and those people are truly saints. But as we go through our daily lives we only know what we need and not what others around us may need. But a simple smile at your neighbor or a friendly conversation with the stranger might cause you to be the saint they were desperately in need of.
